The Offerpal team got a little bigger recently when they hired a marketing director, whose job it is to tell the outside world about all of the exciting things that are happening inside the company. It’s a dream job, really, and I can say that because it’s my own.
It’s been just two weeks, but already I can sense that we’re on to something big over here. There’s an incredible energy and enthusiasm emanating from every desk, every conference room, even (perhaps especially) from the 3,000 square foot playroom in the back that comes complete with a Foosball table, treadmill, not one but two ping-pong tables, and more bean bags than I’ve seen all in one place since the first floor of Boland Hall my freshman year at Syracuse.
And why shouldn’t there be excitement? We’re funded by two of the most reputable VCs in the valley, we’re led by two of the most successful entrepreneurs in the space, and we’re practically doubling in size every month by any standard you want to measure. But more than anything, there’s this underlying knowledge that what we’re doing could permanently change the entire landscape of online advertising and monetization as we know it.
But we’ll get in to all of that later. For now I just wanted to introduce myself and let you know that I’m here. And here. And over here too. I haven’t gone here yet but it’s only a matter of time before I do.
And while we’re at it, let’s get a few more administrative yet very important items out of the way:
- The Offerpal onboarding app for Facebook and all other social application developers is here. Go there right now and become a Fan so you can get the first word on new Offerpal developments.
- Our MySpace group page is here. (We’ll have Bebo, hi5 and other pages shortly.)
- If you’re going to the Graphing Social Patterns conference in D.C. next week then be sure to sit in on the panel featuring our very own CEO, Anu Shukla.
- Check out this interview with our co-founder Mitch Liu by Justin Smith of Inside Facebook. While you’re there, subscribe to Justin’s feed.
OK, that should do it for now. Stay tuned to this page for details on how, exactly, Offerpal is going to change the Internet. We hope you’ll come along for the ride!
